Simba Safari

Tsavo East National Park as you have never seen it.

A Safari that will allow you to discover wildlife in its natural habitat with our 4 × 4 Jeeps and our expert African guides.
There is no better way to experience and enjoy the real Africa.

1st Day:
Departure at first light from the your Resort in Watamu in a 4×4 Jeep towards Tsavo East National Park.
You will arrive at the entrance to the Park at the Sala Gate after about 2 hours of asphalt road and breathtaking views.
Once you arrive at the Gate and complete the entry formalities, you will enter the Park.
From the beginning you will be able to see many wild animals in their natural habitat such as elephants, zebras, antelopes, etc…
You will travel along the Galana River (one of the three largest rivers in Kenya) towards Satao Camp (where you will stay for these two days).
En route you will stop at Hippo Point to see Hippos up close. (The source of this river is the highlands in the south-eastern part of Kenya and flows through the national park and into the Indian Ocean. During a visit to the Galana River, you can see hippos in their natural habitat while exploring the beauty of Tsavo East National Park) and at Lugard’s Falls for a splendid view (this attraction features rock patterns of cooled lava. The falls were named after Lord Fredrick Lugard as he made his way through the region. The rapids were formed as a result of the interruption of the river’s flow by channels and sculpted rocks. At the bottom of the falls, wild species of buffalo and hippos and crocodiles can be seen in the pool formed at the bottom of the waterfalls).
Estimated arrival at Satao Camp for lunch time where you will check in with the assignment of lunch and relaxation rooms.
While waiting for the afternoon Game Driver it is possible to enjoy relaxation while observing the animals drinking from the pool from the observation tower available to guests.
In the afternoon, outing until late afternoon for the Game Driver in search of the wild animals that live in the National Park including the felines.
The sunset over the Tsavo plains is a sight to behold and the “sunset” experience is a must for all Satao guests.
At the end of a pleasant late afternoon safari, you will be taken to a special place for an evening aperitif. The fire is lit, delicious snacks are served and chilled sparkling wine or the famous “dawa” cocktails are poured. Sit back and relax and watch the sun slip behind the Sagala hills and listen to the sounds of the wilderness.
It is a unique experience that you will treasure forever.
(For aspiring photographers, the hour before sunset is blessed with what professionals call “magic light”: a moment of soft golden light that highlights Kenya’s wild nature.)
At the end of this magnificent experience, return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.
2nd Day:
Wake up early in the morning, a quick coffee and off you go… first Game Driver of the Morning, to see the sunrise over the savannah and, if lucky, at the best time to witness a hunting scene.
Return to the camp for breakfast and check-out.
Departure for the second Game Drive of the morning towards you and the western part of the Park and then reaching Mudanda Rock, where surrounded by splendid scenery, you will admire the nature that surrounds you (this rock stands out from the rest of the national park and is located near at Manyani Gate in Tsavo East National Park (During the dry season, wildlife species congregate around the catchment near the layered rock, which makes it easy to see the various wildlife species drinking in the catchment), here and provided at the discretion of customers:
• A picnic with a lunch box prepared by the Satao Camp chefs.
• Return to the park center at the Aruba Ashnil Lodge for lunch.
After lunch the safari continues in the Tsavo East National Park, on a different route from the previous ones, in search of animals and the discovery of new places in the wonderful Tsavo East National Park, until arriving again towards sunset, at the Sala Gate for the Exit the Park and return to the your Resort in Watamu in time for a shower and dinner.

This safari, with a variant of the itinerary, can start from Mombasa, Watamu, Malindi, even before the stay in your Resort. For information write to:
