Once settled, with a private vehicle, you will head to Nairobi National Park for your first exciting visit to “The Nairobi Animal Orphanage”, a wildlife refuge located in Nairobi National Park.
This refuge serves as a care and rehabilitation center for wild animals.
The orphanage is home to lions, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, serval cats, rare Sokoke cats, warthogs, leopards, various monkeys, baboons and buffalo.
Various birds can also be observed, including parrots, guinea fowl, crowned cranes and ostriches…
At the end of the visit, lunch is planned at the park restaurant.
After lunch, departure by 4×4 jeep, for a visit to Nairobi National Park… “The only wildlife capital in the world”.
Wide grassy plains and the skyscrapers of the city in the background, scattered acacia bushes are home to a wide variety of wildlife, including the endangered black rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, buffalo, giraffe and different types of birds with over 400 recorded species.
At the end of the visit, return to the hotel for an aperitif at the Sky Bar and prepare for dinner.
Dinner is planned in a restaurant of your choice among those offered.
The end of the dinner, at the discretion of the guests, is planned: “Nairobi by Night” (the capital offers wonderful nightclubs to spend the evening) or return to the hotel for the night.
2nd Day:
After a hearty breakfast, the safari continues to discover the capital.
First stop of the day, the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, better known as “Elephant Orphanage”, known for its work in protecting elephants.
The foundation runs the most successful rescue and rehabilitation program for orphaned elephants in the world.
Every day, from 11:00 to 24:00, the foundation welcomes visitors to join the orphaned elephants in their midday mud bath and milk feeding at the orphanage in Nairobi National Park, an emotional experience that will remain etched in your memory forever.
At the end of the visit, a lunch break is planned in a typical Nairobi restaurant, the “Carnivore”.
After lunch another exciting visit to the Giraffe Centre, a creation of the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (A.F.E.W. Kenya), a Kenyan non-profit organization.
Their main goal is to educate Kenyan children and young people about their country’s wildlife and environment, as well as offering local and international visitors the opportunity to come into close contact with the world’s tallest species, the giraffe.
After the visit, the day continues with a visit to the National Museum of Kenya in Nairobi and its reptile house.
The museum houses temporary and permanent galleries that attract both students and tourists. Permanent galleries: Cradle of Humankind Gallery; The History of Mammals; The History of Kenya; Life Cycles Gallery; The Numismatic Exhibition and the Asian-African Heritage Exhibition Gallery respectively.
Afterwards, return to the hotel for the usual aperitif, a shower and get ready for dinner.
Dinner is planned in a restaurant of your choice among those offered.
The end of dinner, at the discretion of the guests, is planned: “Nairobi by Night” (the capital offers splendid night clubs where you can spend the evening) or return to the hotel for the overnight stay.
3nd Day:
Third and last day of this unusual safari, after breakfast and check-out, the morning includes a visit to the city exploring the historical sites and walking in modern Nairobi accompanied by a local tourist guide until lunchtime (also leaving time for any souvenir purchases).
