The Ashnil Mara Camp is a 4 – 5 hour drive from Nairobi or there are daily scheduled flights from Nairobi to the Masai Mara which take just 45 mins. Luxury Safari Lodge In Tsavo East National Park
Ashnil Aruba Lodge lies in the heart of Tsavo East National Park in Kenya. The Lodge features 46 rooms and 6 tents. Its location is superb, just a couple of hours from the coast of Mombasa, 5 hours leisurely drive from Nairobi and is located on the banks of Aruba Dam which was built in 1952 as a sport fishing recreational point in the park. Several watering holes nearby attract wildlife and spotting animals is easy because the park lies flat with savannah grassland.

Orphanage
located in Nairobi National Park, this animal orphanage is the oldest of its kind in Kenya.
Founded in 1964, the Nairobi Animal Orphanage is home to and cares for over 20 species of animals and birds in need of rehabilitation after injury or neglect. Lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, ostriches, parrots and other animals inhabit the orphanage, which welcomes over 200,000 visitors every year. The Nairobi Animal Orphanage is both a conservation facility for animals in need and an educational resource for the public, mainly school-age children who otherwise would not have the opportunity to see these animals in the wild. In addition to the beauty of the orphanage, which derives from the possibility of seeing these healthy creatures in their natural habitat, each of the orphaned animals was welcomed for medical treatment before being placed in an individual rehabilitation program for a second chance in life. The purpose of the orphanage is to strengthen the animals so that they can eventually be released into the wild.

What makes the visit special?
To each their own, but certainly the thrill of being in contact with such an important animal and, at that very helpless moment, fills the heart. The guides will warn you of one thing: elephants are like little children. They will want to play, and they will be sociable: you can touch and touch them, but do not bow down if you do not want the baby elephant to throw himself at you for fun (they already weigh up to over 200kg) The show has a very important function: to educate visitors to respect of this species. Elephants are witnesses and reminders of the brutality of poachers who, for futile reasons (ivory), kill adults and abandon the young to fend for themselves. While on the one hand the guides feed the impetuous elephants with spectacular gags and skits, on the other, they tell the stories that characterize each of them. “They are never funny stories”. ITINERARY
FIRST DAY ARRIVAL IN NAIROBI
Departure from Mombasa or Malindi Airport with scheduled flight, to Nairobi at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in the early morning, waiting for you upon your arrival in Nairobi there will be the Jeep and the companions who will follow you throughout your Safari.
From the airport, by Jeep, we will head to the ANIMAL ORPHANAGE at the Nairobi National Park, at the end of the visit we will transfer to the ELEPHANT ORPHANAGE (reservation required), at the end of the visit lunch is provided in a local restaurant .
After lunch we will visit the GIRAFFE CENTER and then, at the end of the visit in the late afternoon, head to the IBIS HOTEL where we will stay overnight.
Check in and room assignment, relax until dinner.
Dinner is at the discretion of the guests, either at the HOTEL (on its magnificent terrace) or, highly recommended, in a themed restaurant, the FOGO GAUCHO, a Brazilian restaurant.
SECOND DAY SAFARI START
– From NAIROBI to the MASAI MARA RESERVE –
Today the real Safari begins, after a hearty breakfast, we will get on our 4×4 Jeep in the direction of the MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE.
The route will be a bit challenging, 276Km in about 5 hours and 30, in a mixed route between asphalt and dirt, the arrival is scheduled for lunch time at the ASHNIL MARA CAMP, a fabulous Tented Camp located in the heart of the Reserve on the banks of the Mara river.
Check in, room assignment and lunch.
After lunch and a bit of relaxation, in the afternoon Game Drive in the Reserve until sunset, to discover this wonderful National Reserve.
Return to the Lodge for an aperitif around the fire and dinner.
The overnight stay during the whole stay in the Reserve is provided in luxurious tents.
THIRD DAY OF SAFARI
– MASAI MARA RESERVE –
We continue in the Masai Mara National Reserve, a full day dedicated to the discovery of this wonderful Nature Reserve.
A Game Drive in the morning and one in the afternoon with a lunch break (picnic) in the Reserve.
The return to the Lodge is expected around sunset for an aperitif around the fire and dinner.

understand what we are talking about.
FOURTH DAY OF SAFARI
– from the MASAI MARA RESERVE to TSAVO EAST –
Last day in the Masai Mara Reserve, after breakfast, Game Drive in the morning and Pic Nic in the Reserve and then head to the Reserve Airfield, where the aircraft awaits us to continue our Safari to the TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK, with a private flight of about 2 hours flying over the Masai Mara Reserve, the Rift Valley and Tsavo West National Park.
Upon our arrival, the Jeep will be waiting for us, which after a Game Drive in the Park, will take us to the ARUBA ASHNIL LODGE for dinner time.
Check-in, room assignment and dinner.
The overnight stay is provided in a tent.
FIFTH DAY OF SAFARI
– TSAVO EAST PARK –
Quick breakfast early in the morning (coffee and biscuits) out to watch the sunrise and in search of cats (ideal time, if lucky, to watch some hunting scenes).
Return to the Lodge for breakfast and new Game Drive until lunchtime where we will return to the Lodge for lunch and a bit of relaxation in the splendid swimming pool made available for guests.
In the afternoon, Game Drive to discover this wonderful park and the animals that live there.
Return to the Lodge towards the sunset for an aperitif around the fire and dinner
The overnight stay is provided in a tent.
SIXTH DAY OF SAFARI
– From the TSAVO EAST PARK to … –
After breakfast, Game Drive in the TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK until lunchtime. Return to Aruba Ashnil
Lodge for lunch a little relaxation and check out.
In the afternoon, crossing the park, we will head
towards the exit of the National Park to continue towards your seaside destination on the KENYA coast.
Arrival is scheduled for dinner time.

GENERAL ADVICE
CLOTHING AND ACCESSORIES
During the Safari we recommend practical and light clothing in neutral colors (short trousers during the day and long trousers during the evening) comfortable shoes, a hat, binoculars, flashlight, power bank (external battery charger) protective sunscreen, anti mosquito lotion, necessary for personal grooming, a heavy garment for the evening or for days without sun.
For your stay by the sea, don’t forget your swimsuit, sunglasses, rubber shoes, hat and protective sunscreen.
